Field Training

GUNDOG training at Westend Kennels is for all breeds of pointing dogs 10 months and older. All dogs will be evaluated, introduced to birds and gunfire, then go into yard work for field obedience and whoa breaking. Once whoa is established, they will go back into the field for handling, holding on point, and retrieving.

Advanced training for AKC field events and WCA ratings test offered.

We train and handle all pointing breed dogs for AKC Hunt Tests.

  Our specialty "Weimaraners" trained and handled for AKC Field Trials and ratings tests.

Obedience Training

OBEDIENCE training is for dogs 8 months and older. We will work with your dog on a daily basis to teach the basics - SIT, HEEL, DOWN, STAY, COME and of course NO!!!

Advanced AKC obedience competition training offered. Please make arrangements with trainer.
