This is a repeat breeding and the first litter received a NAVHDA Natural Ability Breeders Award that averaged 105 points. It is an excellent combination of Top Notch National Field Champions and similar breedings have already produced multiple field pointed dogs and finished Field Champions. Gus, the chosen sire is a phenomenal birddog who is also easy to look at and has AKC Bench Points. He has tons of drive, a smart run, points hard and handles kindly. He has numerous all-breed field trial wins and placements. He was the winner of the Western Open All-Age Field Classic in 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005. He won the Western Open Gundog Classic in 2001 & 2003 and the Western Classic Amateur Gundog in 2003. You can say that 2002 was a great year for Gus as he followed in his Sire and Dam’s footsteps by winning the National Championship with style! In 2005 Gus ran his heart out once again and won the National Amateur Field Championship! Gus is a biddable dog as he finished his CD in five straight shows, he truly lives to please. Marin, the Dam has been exclusively hunted on wild birds and will be running in field trials and hunt tests very soon. She is a hard running dog with a stylish point, a fantastic nose and she loves her water work. She received a Prize I Natural Ability score and broke out easily to wing and shot. We have high hopes that Marin will follow in her Sire and Dam’s footsteps and become a top-notch field trial contender. She has already proven that she’s a class act gun dog in the wild bird field and her and natural versatility and biddable temperament will no doubt make her a great NAVHDA dog! Carly’s NAVHDA track record definitely describes her talent in the field and in the waterfowl blind. She is a Prize I NAVHDA Natural Ability Dog and she went on to receive a Prize I Utility score on her first attempt. She will be going to the 2008 Invitational and will hopefully become our breeds next VC. Carly is a competitive dog that has won juvenile field trial points as well as broke dog points running in All-Breed AKC field trials. She has a fantastic nose, points well and has made an excellent wild bird dog that is hunted hard during the season. When it comes to personality hers is hard to beat. She’s a happy go lucky gal who spends her days going to the office and greeting the patients at her owners Urgent Care facility. Carly has brains, beauty, is super cooperative and is one heck of a bird dog.
Gus’s record speaks for itself! These outstanding puppies will be ready for their new homes in June/July of 2008 and will be registered through the AKC and NAVHDA and Futurity nominated by the WCA (Weimaraner Club of America).
